Warm and Genuine Namibian hospitality
Namibgrens Guest Farm is situated 165km southwest of Windhoek, along the scenic Spreetshoogte Pass, approximately 10 km southwest of the pass and just 60 km from Solitaire—perfectly positioned for travellers seeking tranquillity without straying far from Namibia’s iconic routes.
Discover the quiet magic of the Namib, where vast horizons, desert silence, and rugged landscapes create a sense of peace that words can hardly capture. Far removed from the bustle of towns, yet easily accessible, Namibgrens offers an unforgettable stopover and a place to truly reconnect with nature.
Built in 1928, the original farmhouse still stands proudly, radiating timeless character and charm. Set within lush gardens, the homestead is a haven for bird lovers, with an impressive 230 bird species recorded on the property.
At an altitude of 1,850 metres, Namibgrens enjoys a pleasantly mild climate. Summer temperatures are on average 10°C cooler than the surrounding desert and around 5°C cooler than Windhoek. In winter, the farm is occasionally transformed into a rare desert snow wonderland—an extraordinary sight in the world’s oldest desert.
For added peace of mind, Namibgrens Guest Farm is located in a malaria-free zone, allowing guests to relax and explore the area with confidence.
