The landscape at Namibgrens is very rocky, and after good rainfall seasons the grass can be thick and abundant. For your own safety, walking on the established roads is strongly recommended.

Stargazing at Namibgrens is a truly memorable experience. With very little light pollution and a high elevation of 1,850 metres, the night skies are exceptionally clear, revealing a dazzling display of stars, planets and constellations.
On moonless nights, the Milky Way stretches brightly across the sky, offering breath-taking views that invite quiet reflection and a deep connection with nature. Whether enjoyed from the comfort of the homestead, around a crackling fire, or out on the open plains, the vast Namib sky provides a sense of stillness and wonder that lingers long after the stars fade at dawn.
No special equipment is needed—just a warm jacket, a comfortable spot, and time to look up.
Birdwatching can be a very soothing and joy filled adventure. Hearing the beautiful songs and watching the various activities of these winged creatures can make you forget all your problems while in the field.
